The Biomedical Technology Laboratory, under the auspices of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and affiliated with the Research University Institute of Communication & Computer Systems (ICCS-NTUA), is dedicated to education and research in a wide range of fields covering Biomedical Technology. Its activities include the development of medical data management systems, integrated hardware and software systems for biomedical applications, Big Data technologies, telematics applications in health, e-health and m-health, artificial intelligence methods, data security, biometric technologies, robotics in health, virtual and augmented reality in health, bioreology, analysis and simulation models of biological and non-biological systems, standardization and regulatory frameworks related to health data and structures. Under the supervision of the Laboratory, more than 400 master's theses and 65 doctoral dissertations have been completed, while more than 600 papers have been published in international journals and international conference proceedings.
